CORONATION Street’s Maggie’s murder secret was finally exposed during today’s instalment and the news threatened to tear the family apart.

While Ben’s brother, Finlay, witnessed the tragic scene and has since cut contact with the family, The Rovers Return landlord was left in the dark.
But, it all came to the surface after Maggie was ruthlessly blackmailed by Will Driscoll’s groomer Megan Walsh –.
The teenager was planning to run away with Megan but after a hard-hitting conversation with Tim Meltcalfe about his own experience of abuse, .

Viewers watched on the edge of their seats as Megan called Maggie from prison and threatened to tell Ben the truth about Alan’s death.
The matriarch was sent into a blind panic and she was tipped over the edge when she received a phone call from Ben’s mother Melanie, who also knows the murder secret.
Melanie ominously told Maggie they needed to talk.
Maggie felt forced to tell Ben everything and he was of course horrified.
She confessed her youngest son, Finlay, witnessed the struggle and he went on to tell Melanie.
Maggie told how predator Megan had overheard and was now using the information against her.
A devastated Ben spilled the news to his wife Eva Price and Maggie was subsequently banished from the family.
