CHAOS is set to hit Corrie as Jodie Ramsey reaches her breaking point and pulls a gun on her sister Shona and her husband David.

The upcoming dramatic episodes featuring are being described as having a ‘Single White Female’ style plot, likening them to a psychological thriller film from 1992 of the same name.

After months of manipulation and mind games, Shona confronts Jodie about her obsession with her husband and family.

Her father Doug appeared to notice that she had an eye for David, leaving Jodie concerned.

Though she acted fast to squash his suspicions before he said anything, switching his psychosis medication out so he found himself taken away to a secure mental health unit.

She even managed to just weeks after Shona delivered their newborn child.

But feeling riled by the confrontation, Jodie whips out a gun.

Shona and David at first appear less afraid than one would anticipate given what is going on.

The pair are convinced that Jodie is holding a replica, until she begins to shoot and someone ends up laying motionless on the floor.

Back in January The Sun that Jodie would be involved in a twisted revenge plot against her sister, who she says abandoned her as a child.

A source said at the time: “Jodie is going to do everything she can to seduce David.

“She is fixated on Shona’s life and she wants it for herself. She wants to become her.

“There’s definitely a bit of ‘single white female’ with this storyline.

“Bosses are convinced it’s going to have viewers shouting at their television screens as it all plays out. It’s going to be pure soap drama.”
