It has been confirmed that Carl Webster, Megan Walsh, Theo Silverton, Maggie Driscoll and Jodie Ramsey are all in the mix after producer Kate Brooks previously told of the “special episode coming up mid-February” where a dead body is found.

Tonight’s episode, dated April 23 2026, puts them all in potential risk of being harmed – yet viewers reckon Megan is the one who will come off worst.

Previously, a show source said: “Megan Walsh is caught up in a web of lies as she continues to groom impressionable teen Will Driscoll.

“Is the truth about to come out and does someone believe she deserves to die for what she has done?”

Now eagle-eyed viewers have noted there are fireworks in the flashforward scene – as well as in the scene where the pair’s relationship was exposed.

One fan wrote on X: “Will and Megan’s indecent relationship was revealed on bonfire night in a scene with fireworks

“And what did the flashforward scene have – Fireworks

“Ladies and gentlemen, Megan Walsh is Dead!”Ladies and gentlemen, Megan Walsh is Dead!”

One fan then reacted and replied: “If it is her, it’ll probably be Maggie. It’ll be the reason they showed her being a killer in a flashback”.

Another put: “I’ll be gutted if it’s Megan. I want her to see justice dealt. After all we know that there’s been at least one victim before Will”.

Previously we revealed how Corrie’s newest villain – played by Beth Dixon – was set to become

In November, she made her debut on the show as a .

Opening up on her dark role, she previously said: “I guess you kind of have to know the story arc for a character like this. You’ve got to make a decision about whether you want to play that role.

“My agent spoke to me and said, ‘This is a dark storyline. Are you comfortable playing it?’ And obviously, you do think about it before you say yes, but it’s such a complex character and such a deep storyline that, as an actor, it’s just a dream to play. Because it’s so gritty, and it’s a real-life issue as well.

“So, pretty much straight away, I was like, ‘I want to audition.’ I did the tape, went to a chemistry test, and tested with a few different Wills. And then, a week later, I just got the call.

“I think I had a feeling because I’d never come for a recall or a chemistry test before; that was my first time doing that. And I guess third time lucky.”

COBBLES MURDER

Character Betsy Swain’s scream fills the air as she finds the body during tonight’s episode – with the identity of the victim under wraps.

She then tells detectives she has found the dead body of someone she knows following her mum Lisa’s marriage to Carla Connor.

Each of the five characters are then touted as the victims – with suggestions hinted at their death.

Now a Corrie spokesperson has added more meat to the bones in terms of the potential other four victims.

They said: “One person who will do anything to protect her family is Maggie Driscoll. Having given a fake alibi for Will to stop him being charged with the Christmas Day attack on Daniel Osbourne, if she were to discover the truth about Megan and Will could she end up in danger herself?

“Carl Webster has burnt all his bridges when he let Debbie take the blame for the Corriedale accident which killed Billy Mayhew.

“Since finding out Debbie is actually his mum and not his sister he has pressed the self-destruct button and as he continues to goad both family and neighbours there is more than one person who would be glad to see the back of Carl.

“Theo Silverton’s coercive control over Todd has reached new lows, with their wedding looming, will Todd finally confide in his friends about what has been going on before it is too late? Maybe Todd wants to put an end to the torture or could someone take the law into their own hands?

“Despite initial reservations, the Platts have welcomed Shona’s estranged sister Jodie Ramsey into their home. But Jodie has been keeping secrets from them, and it seems she has got mixed up with some pretty shady characters in her past. Will trouble follow Jodie to Weatherfield, or could she upset people closer to home with her behaviour?

“As the episode comes to a close we flash forward again to April 23rd and the five characters are on the cobbles as Lisa and Carla’s wedding fireworks light up the night sky.

“As the lights flicker a battered and bruised Carl, frantic Jodie, a menacing Maggie, a bloody-nosed Megan and a furtive Theo stare into the darkness. In the final moments the terrified scream of Betsy Swain fills the air – but which Weatherfield resident will breathe their last on April 23rd?”
