Cops release CCTV in hunt for woman, 62, last seen leaving her home in historic market town in green puffer jacket

CCTV footage of a missing woman who was last seen leaving her home in an historic market town has been released by police.

Mavis, 62, has been reported missing from her Darlington home in North Yorkshire, since around 12.30 pm on Tuesday, September 16.

A spokesperson for Durham Police said: “Mavis is believed to have been heading in the direction of Darlington town centre, and officers have now released CCTV images which show her leave South Park, opposite the entrance to Heslop Drive, just after 1.30pm.

The 62-year-old has been described as 6ft tall, with long blonde hair, and was carrying a black leather and bag.

Durham Police added: “Officers would particularly like to hear from anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage covering the Skerne Park and West End areas of Darlington around that time.

“Additionally, the farming community is asked to check their farmland and outbuildings.

“Anybody with any information relating to her whereabouts is asked to call 101.”
