The Taraba State Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development, Joshua Joseph, has said all modalities for Governor Kefas Cup 2023, a talent hunt football competition in the state, have been put in place.
He said the aim of the competition slated for next month is geared towards hunting for football talents, especially among the youths in the state.
He said, in a statement on Saturday, that this will not only help in reactivating sports but will also intensify sporting activities within the state.
The tournament, he said “will attract great Scouts and Sporting Directors from some top European’s club sides, alongside some selected European players, who will be present to grace the occasion, with the intention of keeping an eye on the league after which the resuscitation of Taraba United will also be established through the tournament.”
The commissioner said relevant security measures have been put in place in order to ensure a hitch-free tournament, urging residents to come out enmasse to support the tournament.
