CM PUNK gave it all he had in the WrestleMania 42 main event β maybe even a little too much.
The 47-year-old lost his WWE World Heavyweight championship to Roman Reigns in the last match of weekend, but not without a world class fight.

During the match, Punk had the chance to seal the deal with a second GTS on Reigns in the closing stages, but he collapsed due to exhaustion.
After the match, with the camera fixed on Reigns celebrating his big win and embracing his family, Punk was seen collapsing again at ringside as WWE personnel rushed to aid.
Knowing the supreme professional wrestler Punk is, itβs almost certainly just his way of selling the story from the main event.
However, what he cannot spin is the footage of him blading himself during the match.
The term βbladingβ is when a pro wrestler uses a small razor blade to dig into their head and get the blood pouring down their face.
Itβs often hidden in their wrist tape or more recently, referees hold it for them until the time comes.
The moment normally arrives after a big bump where they take serious damage. On this occasion, Punk had just been put through a table and beaten at ringside by Reigns.
When the performer is down, the camera typically pans to the other wrestler as they gloat and play to the crowd.
On this occasion, the camera returned to Punk too quickly and he can be seen stabbing the blade into his head as blood hits the ringside floor.
This is not the first time Punk has been caught in the act, either.
The two-time UFC fighter was recorded by fans blading at Wembley Stadium while performing for AEW back in 2023.
