A GLAM model has revealed she quit life as a WAG so she could put her own dreams first – and insists the footie world is not as glam as people think.
Kanesly Tait, 23, dated Everton footballer Nathan Patterson for four years.

The pair met in Glasgow while the defender played for Rangers.
Their relationship was put to the test when Patterson swapped Scotland for England to join the Toffees in 2022.
But Kanesly, from Clydebank, said the distance “really helped their relationship in a way” as they had been “living in each others pocket” in Scotland.
She looked forward to weekends down south to spend time with her footie star beau, his teammates and their partners.
But Kanesly said she quickly realised the life of a WAG “actually isn’t as glamorous and as happy as it looks”.
Speaking on The Jim King Show podcast, she said their relationship “never felt properly secure” due to their age and the prospect of moving around a lot depending on which club Patterson signed for.
She said: “That’s when I kind of stood back and I was like, right, is this what I want?
“Because essentially you just need to follow someone about and that’s fine and loads of loads of women are totally okay with that and I really take my hat off to them because that is such a hard job.
“It’s such a hard job because when it comes to the serious stuff like having kids and then you’re married, you are just going to need to pack your bags and pick up everything and move somewhere else and take your kids out of schools that they’ve been in.
“And personally for me, as I started to obviously get older and really think about the future…you’re like, wait a minute, how is this going to affect me and my future?”

Sadly, Kanesly’s realisation led to the end of their relationship – but the pair remain on good terms.
She added: “That was just something that I didn’t want and I didn’t see for myself and that that was never going to work with us because I want to build a life for myself.
“So, you really need to sacrifice a lot having that Wag term. And that’s just something I wasn’t ready to sacrifice. I wasn’t ready to give up my life for someone else and just follow them about.
“It’s just it’s not it’s not in my blood. It’s not in my blood at all to be a follower and just abide to those kind of rules.
“And then obviously, as I said, when kids come into it, you’re not working. So, you’re kind of living off someone else’s money. And that is my literal idea of a nightmare.
“Someone being able to take things away from you and they’ve got a hold over you. Not that he ever ever ever done that but in order to prevent that, I was like ‘I just need to take myself because you never know what the future can hold. You never know what someone can turn into or whatever and circumstances and things’.
“So, I was like, I’m just going to remove myself respectfully. This isn’t for me. It’s not going to work, but we’re still still be totally fine and good friends.”

Kanesly revealed she also struggled with hateful messages from football fans and always feeling like her appearance was being judged.
She said: “If he [Nathan] did something wrong then it was also my fault as well. And it was just it’s a wee bit of a mind boggle.
“And it was it was hard when I started getting the not nice comments and the not nice DMs.
“I got to a point where I was like ‘oh well he’s being recognised everywhere, I can’t be standing beside him when I’m looking not my best’.”
Today, the brunette beauty is thriving on her own terms — not as a footballer’s accessory, but as a woman of power and purpose.
She has filmed for a Bollywood movie, worked with beauty and fashion brands, and helped run a modelling agency.
Last month, she announced she was also launching her own social media marketing company – Butterfly Effective – to help clients plan events and photoshoots, take pictures and manage their full socials.
