Real Madrid goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois has apologised to the club fans following their Club World Cup semi-final 4-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.

The Belgian also revealed why the Los Blancos lost against the French Ligue 1 champions.

A brace from Fabian Ruiz and a goal each from Ousmane Dembele and Goncalo Ramos gave PSG the victory against the LaLiga giants.

Speaking immediately after the match at his post-match interview, Courtois said: “We apologize to all our fans.

“Today was a bad hit, but we need to get up from it.

“The problem today is that we didn’t press as a team.”;

Real Madrid will now shift their attention to the pre-season ahead of the new 2025/26 season.

They finished in second position on the LaLiga table last season behind champions Barcelona.
