Fortunately, her passion has paid off as she has managed to score a plethora of goodies, with one gift costing her just £1.

With the current financial crisis making budgets tight this Christmas, the photographer from Newquay has opted to save money by purchasing second-hand gifts for her loved ones.

On average, Jessica has spent £5 on each gift and has only spent £175 in total for 35 people.

She stated: “I’m a bit of a grandma at heart, and I love browsing through charity shops.”

“I adore the unique items you can discover that you wouldn’t find anywhere else.”

“Christmas can be so costly, so this year I decided to save money, and I’ve bought around 70% of my presents from charity shops.”

“I’ve saved £300 so far; I typically spend £60 on my sister, but I was able to get her gifts for just £10.”

“On average, I spent £5 on gifts for everyone, managing to find presents for 35 individuals for only £175.”

“I found some tea jars for my auntie for £1 each – they were originally £36 from Next!”

“I also discovered a silver platter for a fiver, which would likely have cost hundreds if bought new.”

Jessica describes her charity shopping habit as somewhat of an “addiction,” noting that she can’t pass a second-hand store without going inside.

“I love rummaging through and discovering what I can find,” she remarked.

“I acquire about 60% of my clothing from charity shops.”

“There’s a store nearby that I visit every week because I enjoy it so much.”

Currently, Jessica is constructing her own house and enjoys visiting the bric-a-brac section to find unique items.
