was confident in his post-fight press conference, saying: “I think he’s done. And not because of me. I mean, I think I’ve took a lot out of him, the first fight.
“You gotta look at it like, it’s when you fight a welterweight – and I say welterweight because I can also drop my weight down very quickly – I’m a smaller guy and you got put in the hospital for three days.
“I know he won the fight, but if you look at the collective of punches that he threw versus how many I threw, I was back in the gym on Sunday. He was in hospital for three days. So where does he go from here?”
While Eubank Sr says his son does not hate Benn, focusing on his promoter instead.
He explained in : “Let me talk about the hatred, that’s not coming from either of them, it’s coming from the promoter, Barry Hearn’s son.
“The hatred is in him, it’s not the boys. My son couldn’t care less. All he’s looking at is money and that’s fine, I understand that.
“Hatred? No, Jr isn’t built that way. He wouldn’t be because I’m not built that way.
“Conor is an extraordinary young man for how deeply he loves his father, his dad. That’s an astounding, stand up way to be for every young man.
“And I say to young men, watch that, that is a beautiful thing. The hatred is coming from the promoter.”
