tvN’s upcoming drama “Head Over Heels”; has unveiled new character posters featuring the main lead!
Based on a popular webtoon, “Head Over Heels”; is a fantasy romance about a boy who is fated to die and the young shaman who tries to rescue him from his fate. Cho Yi Hyun stars as Park Seong A, a high school student who leads a double life as a shaman by night. Choo Young Woo plays her first love Bae Gyeon U, who is plagued by bad luck and was born with the misfortune of a predestined death.
The newly released classroom character posters stir curiosity with the conflicting gazes of Park Seong A, Bae Gyeon U and Pyo Ji Ho (Cha Kang Yoon). Sitting by a sunlit classroom window, the trio’s contrasting expressions hint at the complicated ties between them.
One figure stands out in particular: Park Seong A, dressed in traditional shaman clothing and seated at her desk. A high school shaman hiding behind a math textbook while drawing talismans, Park Seong A shows a blend of intensity and mystery.
Her firm vow, “I will save you, in the way you hate,”; paired with a determined smile, signals her resolve to protect her first love, Bae Gyeon U, who is fated to die.
Bae Gyeon U’s deep and thoughtful gaze adds a sense of anticipation. Park Seong A, bold and unpredictable, crosses emotional boundaries and reaches for his heart. Bae Gyeon U, who has kept others at arm’s length out of fear that his misfortune could affect them, now faces a possible change.
The line, “Do not do anything for me. Just stay around there,”; reflects his honest emotions and carries a quiet sense of longing. As someone who once turned away from anything related to shamans, it remains uncertain whether he can open his heart to Park Seong A’s steady pursuit. Their first love, strong enough to challenge fate, brings rising excitement.
Pyo Ji Ho’s gaze toward Park Seong A and Bae Gyeon U, as they begin their difficult first love, adds another layer of intrigue. His conflicted emotions are clear as he watches his close friend Park Seong A step in as a human talisman to protect Bae Gyeon U.
The soft look in his eyes, paired with the thought, “Does your first love really have to be this hard?”; hints at a shift in his heart. Now, all eyes are on Pyo Ji Ho’s role in the plan to save Bae Gyeon U as he joins the effort to protect Park Seong A.
Director Kim Yong Wan said, “A bold and redemptive romance among young people is a story I have always wanted to tell. Audiences can look forward to the freshness of young love and the thrill of multiple genres.”;
He added, “I hope you enjoy the chemistry between Cho Yi Hyun, Choo Young Woo, and Cha Kang Yoon as they portray the heartfelt and uplifting journey of three people who go against fate and become each other’s source of hope.”;
