CHINESE spies are feared to be lurking inside a luxury hotel which boasts a bird’s-eye view of a crucial RAF base.

Experts have warned nefarious Beijing actors could be using the top floor of the five-star resort in to gather intelligence on the British airbase.

The City of Dreams hotel sits just 4.5 miles away from Akrotiri – a pivotal military HQ which has been used by the US in their war against .

Now, experts have warned the hotel’s towering 16-floor building offers a perfect spot for potential spy missions on the RAF base.

Armed with nothing more than a pair of binoculars and a well-selected vantage point, Chinese agents could track planes taking off and landing at the airbase, according to .

Highly-advanced military tech – including F-35B Lightning II stealth fighter jets – are housed within the British air base.

According to insiders, there is “no world” in which would not want to “seek to exploit” the hotel’s location.

The City of Dreams is owned by Canadian-Chinese billionaire Lawrence Ho – named as “Asia’s best CEO” seven times.

Unlike most other luxury stays across the island, the City of Dreams does not have a beach.

Instead, holidaymakers can set up sun loungers along lagoon-style pools looking out towards the British military base.

But should foreign agents want to peer inside the military safe haven then its pyramid design could be a useful tool.

Sources say the hotel offers a perfect view – but only if you book into one of its two “presidential suites” at the very top.

A spokesman for City of Dreams and Ho said the resort existed solely for tourism and that claims of spying were “entirely unfounded”.

But experts have pointed to similar instances of Chinese firms quietly buying up farmland near American military bases in the US.

Last month a US Senator slammed the purchase of a solar farm in Ohio by what he believed was a Chinese “shell company” plotting to “advance its military and intelligence objectives”.

And in 2024, joint British and American forces raided a hotel in Switzerland over fears the resort was being used to spy on F-35 fighter jets.

The RAF Akrotiri base could be a tempting target for malicious actors – particularly since used the base as a launchpad in his fight against Iran.
