CHELSEA will look to finish the job when they welcome Swedish opponents Djurgarden to Stamford Bridge for Thursday’s Conference League semi-final second leg.
Chelsea vs Djurgarden preview
Chelsea will look to complete the job when they host Swedish side Djurgarden at Stamford Bridge on Thursday, with one foot already in the Europa Conference League final.
The Blues all but secured progression last week with a commanding 4-1 first-leg win in Stockholm.
Goals from Jadon Sancho, Noni Madueke and a Nicolas Jackson brace left Enzo Maresca’s side in firm control of the semi-final tie.
With Premier League priorities in mind, Maresca made eight changes to his starting XI in the Swedish capital â a decision that paid off handsomely.
Chelsea then carried that momentum into the weekend, seeing off newly crowned champions Liverpool 3-1 to bolster their top-five push.
The victory lifted Chelsea into fifth, currently the final Champions League qualification spot, just one point behind third-placed Manchester City and two clear of Nottingham Forest, with three games remaining.
Another heavily rotated side is expected on Thursday, as attention begins to shift towards Sunday’s high-stakes clash against Newcastle United.
As for Djurgarden, they arrive in west London playing for pride.
A first-ever European final now appears out of reach, and with only three wins in their last ten across all competitions, form has dipped at the wrong time.
Still, the Swedish outfit will be keen to make a statement and salvage some pride on the big stage.

Goals
It should be another routine evening for Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea, who are expected to cruise past a Djurgarden side whose entire squad is valued at around £18 million â roughly one-seventh the worth of Cole Palmer alone.
Even with several changes anticipated, the Blues have more than enough firepower to rack up the goals, especially having scored 10 times in their last four matches across all competitions.
Djurgarden, meanwhile, have struggled defensively on the road, managing just one clean sheet in their last eight away games â against considerably weaker opposition.

Assist
We’re going to take Jadon Sancho to provide an assist at 2/1 with William Hill.
The England international, 25, should get the full 90 minutes on Thursday having only made a 19-minute cameo against Liverpool over the weekend. He’s also produced 10 assists this season, with HALF of those arriving in the Conference League â including three in the quarter-finals against Legia.
