It’s already a massive Premier League fixture, given the history and rivalry the clubs share.
But points are an absolute must for both Chelsea and Tottenham for very different reasons.
The hosts now go in Tuesday’s contest in TENTH but know a win here catapults them back up to eighth place, which is a European spot for next season.
Though that would only be a Conference League spot, it would keep them in the hunt for a Europa League finish when going into the final day at the weekend.
But their problem is you can’t trust this managerless side at the minute and Saturday’s FA Cup final defeat to Man City made it just two wins from 12 in all competitions – which came against Port Vale in the quarters and Leeds in the semis of the competition!
They’ve only won one of their last nine at home in all comps too – that Port Vale tie – and it’s seven games without a win in the league now too after a draw at Anfield last time out.
So there’s plenty of hope for a Spurs side who arrive at the fixture outside the relegation zone after a four game unbeaten stretch at the right time.
Draws at home to Brighton and Leeds sandwich away wins at Wolves and Aston Villa and they’re now in pole position to stay up.
With West Ham’s damaging defeat at St James’ Park on Sunday, Spurs are two points clear of the Hammers with this game in hand and also have a far superior goal difference.
So with this game and Everton (H) on Sunday, they know a point is all that is required to maintain their spot in the top flight for next season.

Chelsea will still be hurting from Wembley heartbreak and although the Blues played decent enough, it’s another game gone by without victory and their worrying form doesn’t show much signs of changing.
A point will still keep Chelsea in the hunt for Europe going into the final day but it’ll mean more to Tottenham after a string of defeats in this fixture.
