CHELSEA keeper Gabriel Slonina is set to go on trial with sister club Strasbourg, according to reports in France.
The American shot-stopper joined the Blues from Chicago Fire in 2022 for a fee of around £7.4million.

But he has never played a game for the club and has since been loaned out three times.
In the 2025-26 campaign he spent most of the season with the Under-21 side and was playing in with the previous year.
Now the 22-year-old might finally have a chance to impress after being taken on trial with ‘s French feeder team.
L’Equipe claim that Strasbourg are looking for a new No 1 keeper after previously taking Chelsea loanees and Mike Penders.
Petrovic was Strasbourg’s first choice in 2024-25 while Penders was their No 1 last season.
It goes on to say that there are doubts over whether new arrival Milosz Piekutowksi will be the club’s first choice.
And Slonina “could be the lucky one”, the report claims as Strasbourg look for a new No 1.
The French outlet says Slonina has already arrived at Strasbourg’s Alsace training base.

He is set to go on trial “for several weeks” in a bid to impress manager Hugo Oliveira.
Oliveira is believed to be interested to see how Slonina is with his feet to ensure he is a good fit for the team’s style of play.
It says Strasbourg – who are also owned by Chelsea owner – would be interested in buying Slonina if he is a success.
However, they are also said to be eyeing up another Chelsea keeper in Filip Jorgensen should Slonina fail to impress.
The club could also make a handful of sales to raise some funds for future transfers.
The same outlet says ex-Chelsea star Diego Moreira and former Brighton midfielder are both catching the eye of Europe’s elite.
Both players are understood to be valued at around £30m, with Moreira reportedly having admirers at side .
Moreira is said to be seen by manager Gian Piero Gasperini as a replacement for left-back Wesley and talks between the two parties have already started.
Enciso, meanwhile, is being eyed up by after starring for at the World Cup.
