CHELSEA are set to bring back a rare green kit for the 2027/28 season, with initial designs reportedly leaked.

The Blues are poised to reintroduce the striking colour after a 16-season absence.

are reportedly preparing an ‘Electric Green’ shirt for the 2027/28 campaign, with the vibrant base colour set to be paired with the club’s traditional Deep Royal Blue.

The green design is expected to be used as either Chelsea’s away or third kit, although it has not yet been confirmed which one.

The leaked details have emerged from kit specialists Footy Headlines , who claim Nike will bring green back to Chelsea’s range.

The proposed shirt will be predominantly Electric Green, with Deep Royal Blue used for the club crest, Nike Swoosh and sponsor details.

The darker shade is also expected to feature on the collar trims and sleeve cuffs, while potentially being used for tonal graphics on the shirt.

It would mark the first time Chelsea have worn a green kit since the 2010/11 season.

That Adidas design featured a light green and navy colour scheme and remains one of the more unusual kits in the club’s recent history.

Green has traditionally been an extremely rare colour for the west London giants.

It previously appeared on jade away shirts during the late 1980s, from 1986 to 1989.

The colour also has links to Chelsea’s early history, with the club’s original “Eton blue” founding shirts dating back to 1905.

However, supporters will have to wait before getting their hands on the latest design.

The Nike Chelsea 2027/28 away or third kit is scheduled to be officially released in summer 2027.

At this stage, it remains unclear whether the Electric Green design will ultimately be Chelsea’s away shirt or their third strip.

But if the leaked colours prove accurate, the Blues could be set for one of their most eye-catching kits in years.
