A PATIO expert has revealed a 30p hack to get your garden slabs shining in just seconds.
With the sun shining and another bank holiday on the horizon, many of us are likely making plans to host friends and family in the garden.


However, before having any guests around for BBQs or cocktails, it’s important to make sure your outdoor space is in tip top condition.

Thankfully, experts have revealed that there are a number of cheap methods you can instead.
Experts from StovesAreUs said: “The first step in preparing your patio for entertaining is giving those slabs a thoroughcleaning.
“Over the months, dirt, grime and algae can build up, leaving your outdoor space looking less than inviting.”;;
Before scrubbing your patio, make sure to sweep away any debris such as leaves with a brush.
Then, look for any stains on the tiles, and using a bucket of soapy water, give the stains a scrub.
These may work if your patio isn’t super dirty, however, if it is very stained, then you can use a 30p hack.
The experts explained: “Use a solution comprising 50% white vinegar and 50% warm water.
“To use this solution, pour it over the stubborn stains and leave them for about half an hour or so.
“Then, use a hard-bristled brush again with warm, soapy water to remove them.
White vinegar is extremely cheap, and can be found in the supermarket for as little as 50p.
This hack takes just seconds to do, and will ensure your garden area is the envy of your neighbours.

Bicarbonate of soda acts as a mild abrasive that helps to break down tough deposits, such as stubborn dirt, grime and stains.
Experts from RF Paving said: “For those who are conscious about the environment, there are eco-friendly alternatives [to using a pressure washer] to clean your patio.
“A basic combination of bicarbonate of soda and water can clean your patio without resorting to harsh chemicals.”;;
To use this hack, simply make a mixture of bicarbonate of soda and water, with a ratio of one to five tablespoons per 10 litres of water, depending on how dirty the patio is.
Then, remove any loose dirt or debris with a brush, before pouring the solution on to your patio slabs.
Give the surface a good scrub, using some elbow grease, and then rinse it off with a bucket of water or hose.
