A cross-section of Nigerians on social media have reacted to the Super Eagles home-based side’s defeat to Sudan at the 2024 African Nations Championship, CHAN, on Tuesday.

DAILY POST reports that Sudan thrashed Nigeria 4-0 in their second group-stage encounter.

Goals from Leonard Ngenge (own goal), Walieldin Khedr, and Abdel Raouf (2) secured victory for Sudan.

Eric Chelle’s side had lost 1-0 to Senegal in their opening game a few days earlier.

Nigeria are now out of the competition after recording zero points from two matches.

They will face Congo in their final group-stage fixture next Tuesday.

Reacting to the defeat to Sudan, some Nigerians on X (formerly Twitter) expressed displeasure at the result.
