CHAN: 5 countries sent packing from tournament

Five countries have been eliminated from the ongoing CAF African Nations Championship, CHAN.

The countries are Zambia, Angola, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, and the Central African Republic.

Zambia and Angola were the latest teams to exit CHAN after their defeats to Morocco and DR Congo, respectively, on Thursday.

DAILY POST reports that Morocco defeated Zambia 3-1 in Group A, while DR Congo won 2-0 against Angola.

Zambia now sit at the bottom (5th) of the group with zero points from three games, with one match left.

Angola, meanwhile, are in 4th place with four points from four games.

Ahead of Zambia and Angola are Kenya, who lead the group with seven points from three games, followed by Morocco with six points from three games, and DR Congo, also with six points from three games.

Zambia and Angola have now joined Nigeria, the Central African Republic, and Burkina Faso in exiting the tournament.
