Published on August 05, 2025 at 09:51 AM

Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle says he is not thinking beyond his side’s opening fixture against Senegal at the 2024 African Nations Championship.

Nigeria will also face Sudan and Congo Brazzaville in the same group.

The Eagles will take on holders Senegal at the Amman Stadium, Zanzibar on Tuesday (today).

Chelle said it is important for his team to take each game as it comes.

“I don’t wanna talk about Congo or Sudan for now. Our focus is on our first match tomorrow (today), we wanna take each game as it comes and take it step by step,”Chelle told reporters.

The encounter will kick-off at 6pm Nigerian time.
