SIR ELTON JOHN launched a scathing attack on his beloved Watford following their thumping by Burnley.
The Vicarage Road faithful watched the Hornets get battered 4-0 by the visitors on Saturday afternoon.


Scores of fans vehemently booed Alessio Dionisi’s troops after their FIFTH league defeat of the season.
And they were also on the receiving end of a verbal lashing from former club chairman who took to social media to voice his discontent.
Commenting on Watford’s official Instagram account’s post confirming the result, the ‘Rocket Man’ singer ranted: “As a lifetime supporter of , I am very upset and disappointed at the decline over the past few weeks.
“I really feel for the other supporters who have to watch this.”
The comment from Sir Elton, real name Reginald Dwight, received nearly 1100 likes and was praised by Hornets supporters.
One commented: “You tell ’em, Elton. The club is now unrecognisable to when you and were at the helm.
“We are all suffering as fans who have seen a systematic decline and neglect at the hands of the ownership, who are running it solely to extract last minute revenue like vultures around a decaying body.
“It’s heartbreaking. Please, Elton we need your voice now more than ever.”












Another said: “Desperately need you to find some friends who fancy buying a great football club. The club is no longer in safe hands.”
And another said: “When Sir Elton speaks, we all listen!
“Change should have happened a long time ago. Watford fans, you know what to do.”
One remarked: “The one voice that can make a difference.”
Another chimed in: “Please, Elton find us a consortium to save us.
“The club as we knew it is dead and soul ripped out. 😭😭”


Dionisi issued a heartfelt apology to fans in a fiery rant slamming his players’ woeful performance.
He said: “I’m very angry because it is impossible when after 25 minutes it is 3-0. The match was finished.
“Today, I didn’t like everyone. The coach, the staff, everyone.
“I didn’t see the same attitude as the first and second matches at home against Southampton and , or what I’ve seen at the training ground.
“The only thing to say to our supporters is, ‘I’m sorry’. It’s impossible to find anything positive. Today is difficult to explain.”
Watford will be back in action on Tuesday night, travelling to Cardiff to take on .
