NAPOLI wonderkid Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has revealed his surprise idol growing up in Georgia.

That’s after taking Serie A and the Champions League by storm this season.

Kvaratskhelia, 21, is Europe’s top new talent after joining Napoli from Dinamo Batumi over the summer.

Costing just £8.5million, the exciting winger has eight goals and 10 assists in 17 games this season.

Napoli are already top of Serie A by five points, while also qualifying for the Champions League last-16 with ease.

Manchester City are already thought to be interested in a deal for Kvaratskhelia.

And Chelsea have also been linked with a move that could reach as much as £86m.

The versatile forward has now revealed that Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo is his role model.

But growing up as a kid in Georgia, his “first love” in the beautiful game was Real Madrid legend Guti.

The Spanish midfielder played 542 times for Los Blancos up until 2010, winning five titles and three Champions Leagues.

And Kvaratskhelia admits Guti was by far his No1 icon while learning how to become a top footballer.

The ace told Corriere dello Sport: “Cristiano Ronaldo [is my role model]. Even though my first love was Guti from Real Madrid.

“When I played with friends in Tbilisi, my city, we wore white shirts. I wrote his name on my back.”

Kvaratskhelia has also been compared with Man Utd and Northern Ireland legend George Best.

But the youngster admits he has a long way to go before reaching those levels, and simply wants to be his own man.

Kvaratskhelia added: “I don’t pay too much attention to these things and I think it’s very difficult to reach these levels.

“Let’s say that I want to reach my level, I’m working for myself.”
