Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe has named Paris Saint-Germain as the best team in last season’s Champions League.

Mbappe left PSG under controversial circumstances to sign for the LaLiga club last summer.

But the Frenchman insists he was happy to see his former club win the trophy for the first time in their history.

Last weekend at the Allianz Arena, PSG hammered Inter Milan 5-0 to win the title, after losing 1-0 to Bayern Munich five years ago.

“I was happy, they deserved it. They’ve been through so many problems. I’ve been through that too.

“I’ve been through every stage of the Champions League except winning it.

“They were the best team in Europe. It’s 100% deserved,”; Mbappé told reporters on Saturday.
