tvN’s upcoming drama “Head Over Heels”; has offered a first look at Cha Kang Yoon’s character!
Based on a popular webtoon, “Head Over Heels”; is a fantasy romance about a boy who is fated to die and the young shaman who tries to rescue him from his fate. Cho Yi Hyun stars as Park Seong A, a high school student who leads a double life as a shaman by night. Choo Young Woo plays her first love Bae Gyeon U, who is plagued by bad luck and was born with the misfortune of a predestined death.
Cha Kang Yoon takes on the role of Pyo Ji Ho, a character who doesn’t care much for romance or other people but is endlessly kind and caring when it comes to his best friend, Park Seong A. His genuine feelings show in the warmth of his eyes and the playful smile he gives her.
Ji Ho, who prefers simplicity and avoids complicated mind games, grew close to Seong A because of her honesty and straightforward nature. However, his emotions begin to shift with the arrival of Bae Gyeon U. It’s especially telling to see Ji Ho’s displeased expression as he watches Seong A light up around the emotionally distant Gyeon U. Now, viewers are curious to see how Ji Ho will step up to support his best friend Seong A as she fights to save her first love, Bae Gyeon U.
Cha Kang Yoon shared why he chose to join the drama, saying, “I really wanted to play the role of Pyo Ji Ho, a character I thought is charming in the original webtoon.”;
He added, “Ji Ho is honest about his feelings and, in some ways, seems very simple. But he’s also willing to do anything for the happiness of someone he cares about, and that’s what makes him such a likable character.”;
Cha Kang Yoon also reflected on his experience, saying, “Playing Ji Ho gave me a meaningful chance to think more deeply about what it means to be considerate.”;
