is returning for hosting duties on which will be her fourth series in the presenter role.

Speaking on being part of the series, the actress said “I suppose, being an actor, you do spend your life pretending to be somebody else, so that’s quite an advantage. But it is also a horror, because you haven’t got a character to hide behind.

When asked if viewers will see a different side to her she quipped “Yes, quite possibly. I have a naughty streak that I find hard to suppress.

Who is Celebrity Traitors star Celia Imrie?

Celia Imrie is a much loved British actress with an impressive and varied film roster behind her.

Aged 66, she was born in Guildford, Surrey on 15 July 1952 but now lives between London and Cowes in the Isle of Wight with her son Angus.

Her expansive film career, which spans more than 45 years, has seen her star in hit films such as , The Borrowers and Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace.

A long term co-star of the late the pair collaborated on Acorn Antiques, Pat and Margaret, Dinner Ladies and Victoria Wood As Seen On TV.

She was awarded The Laurence Olivier Award for Best Performance in a supporting role for her part in Acorn Antiques: The Musical.

In December 2017 she was given the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 27th annual Women in Film and TV Awards 2017.

What has Celia Imrie said about her son Angus being a love child?

Celia Imrie has a son with the late actor Benjamin Whitrow.

The actress made a deal with Benjamin in her early forties to have a baby – a son called Angus – but did not expect him to play any part in his upbringing.

In her 2011 autobiography, the Happy Hoofer, she says she “laid out her terms” during a walk on the beach and told him that in return for giving her a child, she would not ask anything from him.

She had previously suggested she was not romantically involved with Benjamin, but in an interview in February 2018, she revealed they were once in a relationship.

The Calender Girls star told the Daily Telegraph: “Angus was devoted to this father and, though I’ve never really said it properly, Ben and I did have a romance.

“I wanted to have his baby before it was too late and he [Whitrow] was very, very honest with him [Angus] and he accepted that and was a wonderful father.”

Angus is now also an actor – he plays Josh Archer in radio drama the Archers.

When is Celebrity Traitors on?

The highly anticipated celebrity version of The Traitors will be available on BBC One and iPlayer starting October 8th.

The series will air two nights a week, on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 9 pm.

The date of the finale is yet to be confirmed
