CELEBRITY Traitors star Joe Marler was compelled to use one of his lifelines during the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Christmas special.
The rugby player hadn't even reached his £1,000 lifeline when he needed to call for audience assistance.
Joe Marler had to rely on the audience to assist him with an ‘easy’ question.
The star participated in a festive edition of the long-running quiz show.
The host began by asking Joe a series of questions, but things soon took a turn as he approached the fourth one.
Trying to win £500, Joe felt embarrassed as he admitted he didn't know the answer to what was considered one of the easiest questions of the round.
Jeremy asked the sports star: “Which snake shares its name with a type of long scarf often made from feathers?”
The four options presented were: “Adder, Python, Cobra, and Boa.”
However, Joe quickly confessed he was unsure.
After the options flashed on the screen, he remarked: “I’m not a big scarf guy.
“I’m going to have to use a lifeline on this one.
“I will put my trust in the audience to help me out.”
With the Ask the Audience lifeline activated, it was up to them to guide Joe to the correct answer.
Overwhelmingly, 93% chose option D – Boa.
4% opted for Python, while only 1% each selected the other two options.
Consequently, Joe followed their guidance and selected Boa as his final answer.
But could you have answered it correctly without using a lifeline?
Jeremy then confirmed that Boa was indeed the correct answer, allowing Joe to proceed to the £1,000 question and continue his game.
Jezza asked him the £500 question.
