CAROL Vorderman has disclosed a new health scare, stating that she’s been “very unwell” after leaving her LBC Sunday radio show last year.

The 64-year-old announced her departure from the job in October 2024, following an unspecified “health scare.”

Now, the star has shared that she’s been “very unwell” but is starting to feel better.

She told OK! : “This year has been somewhat challenging health-wise.

“I’ve been very unwell, not due to burnout, but something entirely different.

“I’m on the appropriate medications now, and it’s only in the past month or so that I feel like I’ve regained my energy. So watch out, world!”

The mother of two mentioned that she’s been spending time with friends and traveling to uplift her spirits and enjoy her newfound free time.

She continued: “I’ve had plenty of mini-breaks and holidays with friends — both gay friends and female friends I’ve known for 50 years, as well as some I’ve met for 10.

“I’ve returned to horse racing, traveled to the States, and everywhere, really!

“Reconnecting with old friends has been wonderful. And the right friends, too. I believe I’ve managed to let go of the negative ones. It’s easy to forget how much your long-time friends care about you.

“I’ve received messages inviting me to ‘come and stay in our villa’ or ‘visit us on our boat’. It’s heartwarming to feel so loved, truly.”

Last year, she took to social media to announce she was stepping back to prioritize her health and well-being.

Addressing her fans, Carol stated: “I have some news to share with you.

“After working seven days a week for as long as I can remember, I finally experienced burnout just over two weeks ago and ended up in the hospital overnight.”

She then reassured her followers that there was nothing serious, adding: “Fortunately, after numerous scans and checks, we confirmed that I don’t have any underlying health issues whatsoever.”

However, the scare prompted Carol to reevaluate her life and what truly matters.

She explained: “So, after a serious conversation with my family and friends, I’ve taken this health scare as a warning sign to slow down a bit and have decided to reduce my work to weekdays for now.

“It pains me to make this decision, but I’ve chosen not to continue with my Sunday show on LBC.”

Carol expressed her sadness over leaving the job as she truly enjoys it.

“I’m disappointed that I had to make this choice, as the show has been vibrant and a total joy, with so many new callers from across the country and increasing numbers of listeners.”

She reassured her audience that she would “still be part of the LBC family” and would make appearances on the network “from time to time.”

Carol also pledged to “continue to create mischief and call out corruption and wrongdoing.”

The former star was spotted at Ascot Champions Day today, making sure all eyes were on her as she dazzled in a blue outfit.

She demonstrated that she wasn’t allowing her health issues to bring her down, opting for a royal blue suit with a blazer and trousers, complemented by a sky blue coat draped over her shoulders.

The host, who is preparing to present the next week, styled her brunette hair in loose curls and opted for a stunning make-up look, featuring a nude lip.

She was photographed in the stands, watching the jockeys while reading a program for the prestigious event.
