Then he dyed it bleach blond for his win at the Japan Open a few months later.
Now the two-time champ has gone for a very different look after braiding his hair into cornrows.
Alcaraz almost looked unrecognisable as he posted selfies of himself and his new trim.
Only 10 days ago he was seen with flowing long hair as he celebrated ‘s World Cup victory after watching his country beat in New York.
And he seems to have made the most of that long hair by using it to create a very unique look for himself.
He took a picture of himself in the mirror with his new hairstyle to show it off for fans.
A close-up showed his dark locks split into sections, with a mini ponytail at the back.

Another said: “Hairstyle debut never disappoints.”
A third added: “Can’t wait to see you and the braids back on court.”
And a fourth commented: “This is the best haircut so far.”
It was a quiet July for Alcaraz as he was while continuing to recover from a wrist injury.
The same issue led to his and he will now hope to return and defend his US Open title at Flushing Meadows next month.
