TRAFFIC has been stopped on the M60 after a car burst into flames on the busy motorway.
A blazing fire erupted from the back of a black car on the busy road last night between junctions 16 and 17.

Plumes of black smoke could be seen billowing from the flaming car as motorists stopped nearby.
National Highways halted traffic as fire crews raced to the scene to tackle the inferno.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service sent two fire engines to fight the blaze.
Crews were in attendance for around 20 minutes before successfully extinguishing the fire.
With closed lanes drivers faced long queues until the fire was extinguished and the road reopened.
All lanes of the motorway were reopened by 12:30am this morning.
