AN INTERNATIONAL friendly was rocked by a terrifying incident on Wednesday after a camera caught fire and fell onto the pitch.

Some fans in the crowd noticed smoke billowing from a spidercam above the pitch, and began to film the expensive bit of equipment.
The camera is suspended between four cables, which allow it to traverse the length and width of the pitch from above and capture some unique angles of the beautiful game.
But the innovative bit of kit became a potential hazard after the burning camera broke free of its connections and began to plummet towards the pitch.
It fell over 20 metres before finally crashing to the ground just inside the pitch boundaries.
The impact shocked a camera operator on the ground, who was stood by the touchline just metres away, and appeared to have no idea about the danger until the shocking impact.
Clearly quite the professional, the cameraman took a few steps back in surprise, but within seconds was glancing back at his camera to ensure he was getting the best coverage of the match.
One fan said: “Cameraman must have felt like he was in Final Destination.”
Another added: “Bro just used up every single bit of his luck.”

And a third joked: “That bloke deserves a pay rise.”
Others compared the moment to a famous scene in Hollywood film The Truman Show, where a lighting fixtures falls and nearly hits ‘s titular character.
Thankfully nobody was reported injured after the incident and, after the game was briefly stopped to remove the debris from the edge of the field, play got back underway.
Liverpool marksman was on the scoresheet as the Hungarians eventually emerged as 3-1 winners.
