CAF club competitions: Nigerian sides await opponents as draws hold Saturday

Nigeria’s representatives on the continent will discover their preliminary round opponents this weekend, DAILY POST reports.

The CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round draws will hold in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on Saturday.

Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, champions Remo Stars and Rivers United will compete in the CAF Champions League.

President Federation Cup winners Kwara United and Abia Warriors will take part in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The draw ceremony will kick-off at 1:00 pm local time.

The preliminary round will kick-off on Friday, 19 September, 2025.

The second preliminary round will commence on Friday, 17 September, 2025.

The group stage will commence on Friday, 21 November, 2025, while the knockout stages will start on Friday, 13 March, 2026.
