The All Progressives Congress (APC) has temporarily closed its national secretariat, known as ‘Buhari House’, in honour of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away on Sunday in London at the age of 82 after a brief illness.
The secretariat, which is named after the late statesman, will remain shut from Monday, July 14, to Thursday, July 17, 2025.
In a statement released by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC said the closure of the secretariat was in line with the directive of the Acting National Chairman, Bukar Dalori.
“The All Progressives Congress announces the closure of its National Secretariat in Abuja in honour of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR,”; the statement read.
Morka urged party members and supporters to observe the period of mourning with solemn reflection and prayers for the peaceful repose of Buhari’s soul.
The former President died in London after battling an undisclosed illness.
