It comes after the Cricket Regulator launched an investigation into an incident that took place in Derby on Saturday night.

Dramatic footage circulating on social media shows the bowler engaged in a skirmish outside a busy club.

It is understood that Carse was not on England duty at the time of the incident.

In the video, his Durham and England team mate Matthew Potts is seen trying to intervene.

Carse was reportedly detained by officers at the venue but not formally arrested, according to the Telegraph.

The England squad arrived in London today, with training due to take place tomorrow.

Carse had been an unused squad member during England’s victory in the first Test at Headingley, West Yorkshire, on August 19, which concluded in three days.

He was subsequently released to play for his county, Durham, in their Championship fixture at Derby.

He contributed to the victory, picking up two wickets across the match.

Several members of the team later went into town to celebrate the win on the evening of the alleged incident.
