SEVERAL people have died after a fire tore through a construction site in central Brussels, with six workers still unaccounted for.
Emergency crews discovered multiple bodies inside one of two lift shafts at the major renovation project on Place de Brouckère, where the blaze broke out early on Tuesday.

Officials have not confirmed how many bodies were found and said it remains unclear whether they are those of the six missing workers.
More than 200 people were working at the site when the fire erupted, according to the Brussels fire brigade.
Three people were taken to hospital, while rescue teams continue searching the building for the missing workers.
The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed, and authorities have launched an investigation.
