Former Manchester United goalkeeper, David de Gea has sent a message to Bruno Fernandes after the Red Devils captain welcomed him back to Old Trafford.
Fernandes had recently sent De Gea, who currently plays for Florentina, a message, saying: “David, my friend, I can’t wait to see you at the Snapdragon Cup.”
DAILY POST reports that De Gea is all set to return to Old Trafford on Saturday when Man United host Florentina in a pre-season friendly tie.
The Spaniard was with Man United for twelve years before leaving in 2023.
Reacting, De Gea said via Man United’s website that he can’t wait to see Fernandes and other of his former team-mates.
“Hello, as you know, I’m coming home. For sure, it’s going to be a special game for me,” De Gea said.
“Bruno, you know, you cannot score against me, and if you score, it’s because I let you score so people keep singing your name! But honestly I can’t wait to see you my friend. I can’t wait to see you all at Old Trafford, so I will be there on Saturday, see you soon!”
