BRUNO FERNANDES has made history after breaking the assist record and led Manchester United to a 3-0 victory to finish the season in style.

The Red Devils finished in third after a turbulent mid-season that saw Ruben Amorim replaced with Michael Carrick.

But it has all worked out after United secured Champions League football again and Fernandes’ history-making 21 assists have played a large part in that.

The Portuguese star set-p Patrick Dorgu to open the scoring, returning to the team after a frustrating spell injured on the sidelines.

Bryan Mbeumo scored his 11th goal of the season to extend United’s advantage and put them in full control heading into the break.

Dorgu repaid the favour for Fernandes after 48 minutes to give United a comfortable 3-0 lead and one the home side never truly threatened to chop down.
