SLEEPING peacefully in their quiet suburban home, a family of four was startled awake by a loud crash and the commotion of a group of men in their front garden.
With their young son screaming, they found themselves embroiled in a frightening “turf war” as they realized a brothel had opened in the flat above them.

This street in Dagenham, East London, seemed like any other, featuring a mix of houses and maisonettes.
However, one family—who wished to remain anonymous—had their lives turned upside down when a brothel opened in the flat above them.
Neighbors began to observe up to 30 men a day entering and exiting the £200,000 flat on the edge of the area.
It became the ultimate nightmare scenario for the family.
Over the course of a month, their normal, hardworking lives were disrupted as their home became besieged.
The family reported being caught in a turf war between two rival brothels.
With men believed to be brothel patrons and sex workers constantly traversing the shared property's garden path, the situation was already unbearable for the family.
Things escalated when the rival gang began to attack the brothel—and their home.
The property was vandalized three times—on September 29, October 9, and October 18.
The mother of the family recounted her terror to The Sun, explaining how men shattered her windows in the middle of the night, leaving a hammer embedded in her front door.
Shocking CCTV footage captured the moment four masked men assaulted the home in Dagenham, breaking windows and splattering the house with red paint.
This was the third time the group had vandalized the property within weeks.
The assailants even spray-painted the word ‘Brothel’ on a nearby wall, with arrows pointing towards the family’s house.
The mother of two, who wished to remain anonymous, told The Sun: “I woke up to a loud bang. It was terrifying. I screamed for help and asked what was happening.
“My youngest son, 6, began to cry, and my other son, who was sleeping next to the window when it was broken, shouted, ‘What are you doing? We live here!’
“We were attacked three times. Once they threw black oil over the house. The second time it was red paint. And the third time they smashed our windows. This is not normal.
“They closed the brothel after the third attack, but it still looks horrible because the paint remains. We are still waiting for the council to repaint the exterior.”
The family’s oldest son, 21, was sleeping next to the window that was shattered with a hammer.
The mother mentioned that their property has become like a zoo, with passersby stopping to stare and take pictures—some even asking if the brothel operated in their ground-floor flat.
Another resident, whose adjacent home was also vandalized with red paint and oil, reported that up to 30 men visited the brothel daily while it was operational.
The father of two stated: “It was continuous all day and night—24/7.
“I saw some of the women in the house; I think they were Chinese. They appeared to be between 25 and 50 years old, although one looked very young.
“I believe the men who attacked the home were also Chinese.
“When I inquired with the police, they confirmed they were aware of other brothels nearby and that they were in conflict with each other.
“It’s a brothel turf war.”
The resident, who works as a bus driver, speculated that the rival gang vandalized nearby properties to provoke local complaints and pressure the authorities to shut down the brothel.
He informed The Sun that he spent £1,000 repainting his house after the first
