Brits Share Their Top Picks for AI to Take Charge of Everyday Life

BRITS are eager for AI to take charge of their weekly shopping, meal planning, and even sending birthday greetings.

A survey of 2,000 adults revealed that 49 percent would gladly allow technology to handle certain mundane tasks, with 24 percent willing to let it clean their homes.

While 19 percent would entrust it with their social calendar, 22 percent would like it to handle bookings.

Additionally, 32 percent would prefer it to compare prices and quotes.

The study also found that 76 percent of participants already use AI in some capacity, with 15 percent utilizing it as frequently as once a day.

Despite 74 percent feeling confident in their understanding of AI, 26 percent admit they do not feel as knowledgeable.

This research was commissioned ahead of the inaugural AI-Mazing Awards taking place this October.

The awards aim to recognize the best AI-enabled products.

Caitlin Mellor, an AI spokesperson for the brand, stated, “AI isn’t just a concept from science fiction; it’s already integrated into our daily lives and shopping experiences.”

“Our findings show that while many individuals remain uncertain about what AI truly is, they are very receptive to using it when it simplifies their lives.”

“We are just at the beginning of this technological journey—its potential to enhance our lives is enormous.”

The study also indicated that 68 percent of respondents are willing to learn more about AI, suggesting that even those who are hesitant are not entirely closed off to it.

While 21 percent of adults express concern about the technology, 32 percent are curious yet cautious, and 20 percent are excited and optimistic.

Conducted by OnePoll, the research revealed that 25 percent of AI users consider it a friend, with 18 percent having sought its assistance regarding their romantic lives.

Furthermore, 62 percent have relied on AI for therapy sessions, wellness advice, and general life guidance.

Of those who have done so, 49 percent opted to follow AI's advice over that of friends or partners.

Interestingly, 47 percent of users express gratitude towards AI for its assistance after using it, while 39 percent say please when making requests.
