A BRITISH man has been arrested on suspicion of terror offences relating to the suspected RAF Fairford terror plot.

The 22-year-old man was arrested in London, Counter Terrorism Police said.

He is the seventh man to be arrested in connection with the plot after the other suspects were released on bail.

This comes after Donald Trump pulled American bombers from the base over fears of an Iranian drone attack.

The US President said there were “some threats” but US officials could not comment on whether the threats were imminent.

Downing Street has since insisted the Gloucestershire base is safe after the Pentagon confirmed it had withdrawn the bombers – thought to be about a dozen B-1s.
