BRITAIN’S busiest motorway has been closed following a horror “multi-vehicle” crash.
The has been shut down between J25 (Waltham Cross) and J27 (M11) after a multi-vehicle collision involving a car and a motorcycle.
The horror smash happened earlier this evening and brought traffic on the busy road to a standstill.
Emergency services raced to respond to the “” smash, it remains unclear if there are any serious injuries.
Traffic caught up within the closed section of motorway is being turned around.
Cops and officers from are on scene to assist with traffic management.
Drivers have been warned to expect delays of up to half an hour as congestion builds on the busy motorway.
A diversion has been set up with motorists told to follow the route marked with a hollow triangle symbol on local road signs.
National Highways said: “is currently stopped on the M25 clockwise between J26 Waltham Abbey and J27 M11 due to a multi vehicle collision.
“Emergency services are on scene.
“There are currently of 30 mins above normal travel time.“
It is unclear if anyone was seriously injured in the crash
