A BRITISH tourist has collapsed and died in a Greek hospital after taking his sick wife in for treatment.
The 55-year-old was on holiday with his partner in Kalavryta, , when she reportedly fell ill suddenly and needed to be rushed to a local hospital.

The husband drove the couple to the Kalavryta Hospital where they arrived in the afternoon on Wednesday.
Doctors and nurses quickly saw the woman and gave her with first aid as she lay on a bed.
The man then collapsed as he stood by her side.
Medics rushed to his aid and performed CPR to try and revive the Brit.
He was tragically confirmed dead a few minutes later.
His cause of death is yet to be revealed.
An autopsy is expected to be carried out in the coming days as officers from the Kalavryta Police Department conduct an investigation.
The grieving widow was released from hospital as her condition improved after the brief treatment.
The Sun has contacted the UK Foreign Office for comment.
Kalavryta is known as a tourist hotspot in northern Greece.
The mountain town is famed for its deep gorges and alpine beauty including the popular Kalavryta Ski Resort.
It comes after a after being found unconscious in their holiday villa swimming pool in Greece.
The woman was discovered by her partner in the pool at the couple’s villa on the island of Zante.
