The ginger-haired 30-year-old was recently informed he needs to be insured for £10m just to visit a .
The Trafford Centre, in his home city of , he said, is particularly tricky.
Ty said: “I need to be insured for £10m to film there and give notice.”
“I went in there and caused giant crowds that followed me all over the place.
“I do have to be mindful of the stir actually causes.
“I consider shopping centres and busy places potential trouble.”
However, lookalike work has transformed Ty’s life, providing him with a huge online following.
He has worked as the chart-topping 35-year-old singer’s double for the last decade.
But that career hasn’t been all fun and games, with the dead ringer for the Shape Of You hitmaker often being mobbed in the streets.

Ty thought he was “going to die” after the six men believed him to be the famous singer.

Some fans have even injured themselves in the process of trying to figure out if he was the pop star or not.
Ty said: “A man went flying over his handlebars on his bike.
“It was a proper Carry On moment and he looked devastated when he realised I wasn’t Ed.
“I’ve been shouted at for not being Ed Sheeran, too.
“Ed Sheeran fans can go from crying about how you’re their hero to being annoyed quite quickly.”
