A three-year-old boy has been urgently taken to the hospital with critical injuries following a tragic van accident.
The child was walking in a parking lot when a blue Vauxhall Vivaro struck him on Saturday.
Dorset Police were alerted to the scene on Landsdowne Road at 12:35 PM.
Paramedics quickly transported the three-year-old to the hospital due to his serious injuries.
His family is receiving support from specialized officers.
No arrests have been made, and the van driver is cooperating with the investigation, according to the police.
Sergeant Richard Stroud from the Roads Policing Team stated: “Our thoughts are with the young boy involved in this incident and his family.
“Our inquiries into what transpired are ongoing, and I encourage anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information that may aid our investigation, to please reach out to us.”
