The boy’s family had just arrived for a summer vacation when he fell, having just checked into the hotel on Saturday.

Emergency services rushed to the scene before taking the child to Paphos General Hospital.

Local cops received initial reports of the terrifying plunge at around 6:40pm yesterday.

Despite the efforts of doctors, the toddler succumbed to his injuries.

The family have another five-year-old girl, who is also with them on the holiday.

The boy is understood to have fallen from an open corridor window in the hotel.

His dad was arrested on suspicion of causing death by a reckless, negligent or dangerous act, neglect of duty as the head of a family, and failing in his responsibility as a person having care of another.

Cypriot police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the deadly plunge.
