A 12-YEAR-OLD boy has been charged with sexual assault after a woman – in her 60s – was found with serious injuries.
The victim was discovered in her home in shortly before 6.15pm on Wednesday, March 18.

The accused, who cannot be named legally due to his age, was also separately charged with intentional strangulation.
That charge is in connection with a woman being confronted in a street last month, police added.
Officers said he was also charged with a separate theft incident on March 18.
A Police spokesperson said: “We’ve charged a boy after a woman was found with serious injuries at an address in Birmingham.”
The force said the woman, aged in her 60s, was discovered just before 6.15pm on Wednesday.
“She remains in a serious condition in hospital,” they added.
“A 12-year-old boy was arrested and has since been charged with wounding and sexual assault.
“He’s also been charged with a separate theft matter last Wednesday and intentional strangulation after a woman was confronted in the street last month.
“The boy, who cannot be named due to his age, is remanded to appear before Birmingham Youth Court today, March 24.
“Our enquiries remain ongoing, but we understand how concerning this will be within the community.
“Our officers will be continuing to provide reassurance in the local area.
“If anyone has any information regarding suspicious behaviour on March 18 or in the days leading up to last Wednesday, details can be submitted via the Major Incident Public Portal or via 101, quoting log 4888 of March 18.”
