Temper, 32, told SunSport: “Mentally I went through some very, very, very dark stuff. I went through the darkest chapter of my life.
“AndI’m really grateful for it because it taught me a lot. Man, I went through hell and back.
“Boxing has helped me so much. It’s crazy because at a time when I really needed it, boxing’s been my saving grace before, but this time on a whole different scale.
“You get those endorphins. You kill yourself in the gym and you feel amazing the rest of the day. It’s like I’m good for the rest of the day. My endorphins are up, like my dopamine is up.
“It doesn’t matter all the s*** that that I was facing, that I’m facing I feel a lot better versus not going to the gym.”
Temper joined the Faze clan in 2010 – with the group now at over 8MILLION subscribers.

But he last year left the group amid allegations of sexual misconduct after admitting to having a sexual encounter with a 17-year-old girl.
However, Temper denies knowing her age at the time, claiming they met in an over 21s nightclub.
The age of consent in New York – where the alleged incident took place – is also 17.
Temper fought on the first-ever Misfits card in 2022 and even faced the co-founder KSI –
His last fight was a stoppage defeat to Josh Brueckner – who also shares the card with him in Germany.
Predicting his own bout, Temper said: “I think it’s gonna be an early stoppage.
“I saw his fight from four years ago but he was out of shape and that was four years ago. And I haven’t really seen s*** since.
“So I’m sure he’s gotten probably a lot better, but I just feel a lot more confident in my abilities and everything I’ve been working on, especially these last few months.”
