A WOMAN has revealed how she was banned from wearing a bikini as a teen thanks to a rare condition.

Summer Robert, from the UK, was just 14 when she went to the doctor concerned by her ever-growing chest.

They were disproportionate to her , and her mother wanted to check that everything was okay, the insisted they were and that she just had a large chest.

He revealed that Summer’s BMI was too high for reduction surgery and was sent on her way.

But after the appointment Summer’s chest continued to grow, in fact, she went up 11 cup sizes in just one year.

Doctors only grew concerned when Summer found a lump.

After getting it checked, she was fortunately told it was not cancerous, but the specialist said she should get a reduction just in case.

She was finally getting the help she needed, but once again, when she met the surgeon, she was told her BMI was too high to go forward with the procedure.

At that point, Summer, who is 4’11” in height, had grown 11 bra sizes in just one year.

“Every month, I was going up a size. And I was really confused,” she told Mamamia .

While the surgeon was unable to , he finally gave Summer an answer to her problem and diagnosed her with macromastia — a disproportionate enlargement of the breasts.

Summer revealed that as a teenager, she hated her body and would often get unwarranted stares.

“I used to get harassed all the time,” she said, adding that it made her insecure. “I hated my body.”

“I’ve had an ex-boyfriend’s parents tell me I shouldn’t be wearing a bikini in a pool,” she continued. “I’m like, ‘what am I meant to wear?'”

More recently, Summer got kicked out of a popular tourist destination.

She was told to cover up despite wearing a long-sleeved top and skirt.

Summer, who used to work as a bartender, was often ridiculed by customers and one day she reached her limit.

Crying in the back, the chef took Summer’s phone and told her he would make her an account.

Summer was convinced it wouldn’t work, but posted it to her as the chef advised and woke up to £420 in her account without posting a single photo.

From there, a new career was born and she is able to rake in £45,000 a month.

Despite begging for a reduction surgery in the past, Summer says she would now decline it if she was offered one.

Her new career has helped her feel more confident in her body and says she’d only get one if it impacted her everyday life.

Summer said: “I love my body so much now. I’m super confident in my own skin, and I’m happy that it’s become a positive thing, because growing up it was not. But now it is, and I’m happy.”
