Shehu Sani has characterized the bombing of a mosque in Maiduguri, Borno State, as a horrific act of terrorism.
He emphasized that the bomb attack on the mosque was a tragic occurrence.
In a post on X, he condemned the act as reprehensible.
He stated: “It’s tragic to hear the news of a bomb explosion at a mosque in Maiduguri that resulted in numerous fatalities.
“While we await the official report on the incident, this unfortunate and condemnable act once again highlights the evil and horrors of terrorism and the threats it poses to all citizens, regardless of their identities and affiliations. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.”
On Wednesday, terrorists believed to be Boko Haram insurgents detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) at a Juma’at Mosque during the Maghrib prayer.
The mosque was situated in the Gamboru Ward, near the Customs area in Maiduguri.
