BOCA JUNIORS’ clash against rivals Cruzeiro ended in chaos after an ugly brawl between both teams after the final whistle.

Tensions had been bubbling throughout the game after a total of seven yellow cards were dished out.
And there was a red card too when ‘ Adam Bareiro was dismissed on the stroke of half time after a second yellow.
After the final whistle, ex-Roma and PSG star confronted Cruzeiro’s .
It’s understood Paredes was fuming after Pereira celebrated in front of him.
Their spat appears to have kicked off the brawl as players from both sides got involved.
There were even players from the substitutes bench – from each team – who came over to have a pop.
Soon coaches and other staff members also rushed over as the mass brawl threatened to get out of hand.
There was no violence or punches thrown, but the scuffle went on for a couple of minutes as some peacemakers attempted to cool the tensions.

It was a bitter blow for Boca as their unbeaten run in the competition was ended while Cruzeiro went level on points with them in Group D.
Boca was furious about Bareiro’s dismissal as Paredes insisted after the game: “Neither was a yellow.”
Manager Claudio Ubeda wasn’t happy with the decision either as he hit out at referee Esteban Ostojich.
Speaking after the game, he said: “Regarding the sending-off, we felt it wasn’t punishable.
“The referee decided to show the second yellow card and, upon reviewing the play, it’s clear that Adam (Bareiro) never made the gesture of
striking.
“This affected our entire match and ruined our game plan. Ostojich’s refereeing was clear.
“He interfered too much. He handed out excessive yellow cards.”
