A BIG Brother star left her 19-year-old sister with cuts and bruises in a row over going to the shop.

Hanah Haji, 26, repeatedly punched Mona Shiekh after shoving her younger sibling on to a bed.

The reality star also told Mona “I hope you die from your condition” after she refused to go to the shop for Haji as she was ill.

Haji, who appeared on series 21 of in 2024, has now been convicted of assault.

She was handed a rehabilitation activity requirement of up 15 days and fined £100 at Ealing Magistrates’ .

Haji was also ordered to pay £100 compensation to her sister and £250 costs, as well as being slapped with a restraining order against Mona.

The court was told Mona had been ill at home on July 16 last year when she refused Haji’s plea to go out to the shops.

Mona said: “[Haji] muttered: ‘What the f**k?’ and I could hear her say: ‘I hope you die from your condition,’ as she shouted in the hallway.

“She barged in, slamming the door against the wall. She pushed me onto the bed and I covered my face and she started banging on my face.

“She was punching. I could feel the fists and I was screaming.”

Mona recorded the row on her phone, which was played in court.

She could be heard calling Haji a “w***e” for “bringing men around the house”.

Mona was left with a cut above the left eye and bruising to her face following the attack.

In a victim impact statement, she said: “I’m really scared of her and can’t go back to my home address safely.”

Haji claimed she only punched her sister in self-defence when she was scratched to the arms and kicked to the legs, which Mona denied.

She told the court: “After a bit I punched her because she was kicking and scratching me and a year later I still have those bruises to my legs.

“I punched her and punched her again and she screamed and I backed off. I’m not trying to beat up my little sister and I am not a spitter, that’s disgusting.

“I did not want to hurt her physically. I don’t blame her, I blame the hostile environment we were in.”

The court heard Haji was previously convicted of in 2016 when she was aged 15.

Haji famously went on a “hunger strike” in the Big Brother house after she and others reprimanded for breaking the rules.

She had been discussing nominations with fellow contestant Dean, which led to the house being forced to eat just porridge all day.

The HR consultant told producers in the Diary Room: “Big Brother I can’t do porridge. Plain porridge. That’s famine.”

When Big Brother refused her some honey to sweeten it, she said: “I’m just letting this be known.

“I will end up starving myself. I will starve myself.”
